What We Do

Serving People Through Education, Health & Community Development

Our activities focus on education, healthcare, rehabilitation, empowerment, infrastructure, legal support, humanitarian relief, culture, environmental responsibility, and community wellbeing.

Education Support

Financial assistance, guidance and opportunity support for talented and disadvantaged students at different stages of education.

  • Provide financial assistance to poor students studying at public universities, medical colleges and engineering colleges in Bangladesh.
  • Support financially disadvantaged graduates of public universities, medical colleges or engineering colleges until they obtain employment.
  • Provide financial help to poor students from completion of higher secondary education until admission to a university, medical college or engineering college.
  • Support poor and meritorious students studying at secondary level.
  • Provide appropriate assistance to meritorious students intending to pursue higher education abroad before their departure.
  • Provide timely educational guidance and establish a dedicated Education Counseling Centre / special support cell.

Health & Medical Services

Medical assistance, preventive health initiatives and affordable treatment support for vulnerable people and families.

  • Provide treatment assistance for poor meritorious students or family members suffering from serious diseases.
  • Provide comprehensive healthcare support for neglected and disadvantaged mothers and children.
  • Arrange free or low-cost vaccination and preventive health support for poor and low-income people against diseases such as COVID-19, AIDS, dengue, SARS and hepatitis.
  • Build public awareness against drug addiction and work toward rehabilitation through a dedicated drug-treatment centre offering free or affordable care.

Rehabilitation Programs

Rehabilitation, shelter, skills development and social inclusion for disadvantaged and marginalized communities.

  • Support persons with disabilities through treatment and educational assistance so they can return to normal life and become productive members of society.
  • Develop institutional support and safe shelter for orphans, helpless people, widows, elderly people, transgender people and persons with disabilities, including vocational training for self-reliance.
  • Support initiatives for a beggar-free Bangladesh by assessing needs in coordination with relevant authorities and helping people move toward self-reliance.
  • Undertake projects for indigenous, tribal and ethnic minority communities covering education, healthcare, rights awareness, protection from abuse and economic self-reliance.

Infrastructure Development

Developing educational, healthcare and basic community infrastructure to improve quality of life.

  • Establish practical and foundational training academies that promote quality education, moral character, patriotism and responsible citizenship.
  • Establish modern residential educational institutions supporting students' mental and physical wellbeing and full intellectual development.
  • Establish modern hospitals or clinics to provide free or low-cost advanced medical services to poor, helpless and low-income people.
  • Repair or develop bridges, culverts and roads in remote areas on an urgent basis to reduce public hardship.
  • Establish orphanages/child homes, women's rehabilitation centres and old-age homes.
  • Provide housing, tube wells and sanitation facilities to disadvantaged people to improve living conditions.

Gender Equality

Promoting equal opportunity and social inclusion through vocational skills and economic independence.

Women's Empowerment

Building earning capacity for neglected, extremely poor and unemployed women through skills and livelihood initiatives.

Legal Aid

  • Provide legal assistance to people who are abused, oppressed, persecuted or otherwise vulnerable.

Anti-Corruption Awareness

Encouraging public awareness, accountability and cooperation with relevant authorities against harmful and corrupt practices.

  • Cooperate with relevant government offices by providing information concerning drugs, smuggling, food adulteration, extortion, yellow journalism and other forms of corruption.
  • Undertake awareness programs to strengthen public consciousness against corruption.

Relief & Humanitarian Assistance

Emergency relief, livelihood assistance and humanitarian support for people affected by disasters and hardship.

  • Provide necessary assistance to people affected by natural disasters such as floods, storm surges, earthquakes, cyclones, river erosion, severe cold, excessive rainfall and fires, as well as human-made accidents.
  • Provide financial assistance to distressed people to help create employment and livelihood opportunities.
  • Subject to approval from the proper authorities, provide relief and cash assistance to war-affected people in friendly countries and to communities affected by natural disasters abroad.
  • Subject to applicable approval, undertake microcredit and other income-generating projects to strengthen and sustain the organization's charitable activities.

Sports & Culture

Using sports and cultural activities to build healthy minds, discourage drug abuse and nurture students' talents.

  • Organize and support sports competitions at different times of the year to promote healthy bodies and minds and help keep people away from drug addiction.
  • Organize cultural programs to encourage the healthy development of students' talents.

Publications & Outreach

Sharing organizational activities, student writing and contemporary issues through publications and social communication channels.

২২/০৬/২০২৬ ইং রোজ সোমবার সকাল ১০.৩০ মিনিটে উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মধুপুর- টাংগাইল এর কার্যালয়ে চেক হস্তান্তরের মাধ্যমে পড়ালেখার দায়িত্ব গ্রহন করলেন বেসরকারী উন্নয়ন সংস্থা ডন লাইট ফাউন্ডেশন । উক্ত চেক হস্তান্তর অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মানবিক ইউএনও জনাব জুবায়ের হোসেন, কুষিবিদ মোস্তফা হোসাইন-উপজেলা সমাজসেবা অফিসার, মোঃ মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান-উপজেলা পল্লী উন্নয়ন অফিসার, আলহাজ্ব আনোয়ার হোসেন-বিশিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ী ও সমাজসেবক, জনাব খাইরুল মুন্সী- ধনবাড়ী উপজেলা বিএনপি'র সহ-সভাপতি ও মানবাধিকার সংস্থার সভাপতি, আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন সংস্থার সভাপতি জনাব মাসুমা খাতুন, ও উপদেষ্টা-কাওছার আহাম্মেদ।
